CEO Sarah Ellerby interviewed on BBC Radio 4 Today Programme

Nova Pangaea Technologies (NPT) CEO Sarah Ellerby was interviewed by BBC Radio 4, the Today programme, and on BBC Radio 5 Live, Wake up to Money.

She discussed the support of equity investment on SMEs and the value it adds as per Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund’s investment into NPT. These interviews coincide with British Business Bank’s launch of its new Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II of £660m covering the North of England.

Sarah discussed how the investment helped to further progress and develop NPT’s technology from demonstration to a pathway to scale-up and commercialisation. She noted how NPIF has supported the company’s growth plans and its continued commitment to NPT. Sarah also highlighted the importance of investment in bringing in skill sets into the company and how NPT sits in the North East, which is gathering pace as a reputable industrial hub for decarbonisation.

Sarah Ellerby will be present on a panel at the fund launch event in Leeds today and will discuss further the importance and impact of such investment on businesses and in the North of England generating jobs, pooling talent and stimulating further growth and investment.

Sarah Ellerby, CEO, said:

“The Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund’s involvement helped place us in the strong position we are in today. NPIF was committed to empowering a northern business dedicated to offering climate solutions and allowed us a pathway from demonstration to commercialisation. We are now partnering with our country’s leading commercial airline, British Airways, to deliver Project Speedbird and establishing us as an enabler of SAF production and a contributor to the decarbonisation of aviation.”
